Get motivated lard ass!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of interviewing Robyn Moore: Voice Actor and "Communicator". I'm happy with how it went but I still have a long way to go, but that is why I practice. In the future if i need to re-record over an interview I should do it in the original location.

I received an email back from Robyn saying that she was happy with the interview, suggested a few other people I may be interested in interviewing in the future. I appreciate her encouragement.

Going to the step to the future conference was a great experience, partly because of the life-affirming nature of the program, but also it was a prime example of how a person is able to communicate on an intimate and effective level to a whole group of people. When communicating on such a level one must be able to lower oneself to the level of the audience otherwise the effort and time is wasted.

Today proved to be a bit less exciting, in fact today proved to be thoroughly abysmal at one point. I do realise that my last SAC in literature was not at a particularly high standard, I didn't realise how poor it actually was. My teacher was thoroughly disappointed with the performance of the class and was quite angry with the class. It seems as though she is going through a rough time in her personal life.

Despite her manner, I did pay attention to her message. There is a need to dedicate more time and energy into my studies. I wish I was more self-disciplined. This means that I should crack open my planner again and revise my study schedule or use the one I already have. If I can stick it out than I will have results in many facets of my life.

The Radio Game

Monday, July 09, 2007

Part of being in the radio game (even while training) is filling up the ol'roll-a-dex with many a name and number. I have sent out emails to a few people in regard to people who I would be interested in appearing on the DEMO and episodes thereafter. Today I got two e-mails back. One from the Media adviser of Lyn Allison and another from the the desk of Voice Wizard and Motivational Speaker Robyn Moore.

Lyn Allison:

Leader of the Democrats party. She should be a fun nut to crack.

Robyn Moore:

I saw her for the first time at a 'STEP TO THE FUTURE' conference last year, you may recognise her as the "Ajax spray and wipe lady" or the voice for Australia's favorite cartoon koala Koala Blinky Bill. She has expressed an interest in meeting me at this years Step to The Future later this month and then following it through to do a pre-recording.

Due to the fact that Robyns availability is subject to a limited time only (due to the fact that she lives in the great southern-er land: Tasmania) I'll organize the recording for around the 23rd of July for both guests for some studio-bound mayhem.

An Explosive Lesson

Saturday, July 07, 2007

As I was cooking pancakes today I heard a loud bang in the fridge. My first impression was that the fridge was broken. Upon further inspection i learned that a can of pepsi had exploded.

Lesson Learned: Don't leave carbonated cans in the back of the fridge... they freeze and explode.

A shameful absence

I'M BACK BABY!
And this is my beard:

Interesting story, Many months ago I entered a beard growing pact with a guy called Kyle (username: Javacrammer). The pact ensured that neither of us could shave until halloween unless we wanted to face the ultimate penalty: Shaving for a week with a dull razor or shaving and then rubbing chilli powder on ones face (Punishments are hard to regulate so its not the point). So under the supervision and encoragement of the blokes of the beard board the pact continues, here is a counter:

The holidays are around again and my post counts for this blog have been rather low, just like an economy this blog goes through peaks and troughs. If you want to read a blog of continuing quality thats posted regularly I recomend Erins blog. Will I keep posting on this blog in the years to come? Only time will tell.

I've spent most of the day doing psychology homework and fixing out the bugs out of this new skin for the blog, this could possibly be the fourth skin in the lifetime of this blog.

I've been doing various work here and there in reguards to the holiday homework.
Have Done:
~Radio Assignment
~Most psychology work!

To Do:
~The irritating matter of reviewing Virginia Woolfs "A room of ones own" for stuff about sexual identity before Monday *choke*
~A whole lot of math
~Economics
~I need an idea for the creative english sac

I dont fear too much about getting the work done. Because I am a believer in parkinsons law:
~Parkinson's Law states that "work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion." A more succinct phrasing also commonly used is "work expands to fill the time available."~ - Wikipedia

As I have discussed in previous posts I'm working out which direction to go in after i finish my VCE, at the 'Experience Latobe' session I went to I learned about the wonderful feild of anthroplogy. During my arts degree I might major is Psychology and Anthropology.

I got word back from the game shop, I wont be able to get a new addition of 'a question of scruples' due to the fact that it is out of print, and that is a major bummer, however... if I pay an extra $16 i can order in an edition from the US... and I think I might.
