A job
Thursday, April 27, 2006
I want a job, I want to earn my own money. As soon as I can, I'm gonna march into Ms Alexanders' office and say "Hey, I want a food handelers certificate, what can you do for me"?
Then I will be leagally able to work in any place that deals with food. Big Plus!
Jacques Today I decided to pass up going to Bendigo, Instead I'm staying at home to do work. I've done all I need to for today and I got a lot of work done. Hip Hip Horray!
I spent the day with Codey the German Shepard. I spent three hours doing work on Dairy Products Legumes *Passes out*
Last night I finally got a message back from Gricey, it was more that satisfactory. I talked to him on MSN and learned why he didn't respond. He doesn't often respond to mail or MSN cos he's one of those types that has a million messages and half of the worlds populations' MSN on his list.
Get This:
A few months ago he has a real thing from me, he never told me because he was embarrassed and then he moved on with his life, later I speak to him and I develop a crush on him and tell him, but now he's moved on and he kinda has a thing for someone else. How messed up is that arangement
I seduced him unknowingly (Perhaps not in those words), just part of my natural flair I suppose. Hopefully if I can do it unknowingly, I can give it a shot actually trying. I suppose this validates my idea of telling people how you feel about them.
On the bad side I wont be able to catch up with him 1 on 1 until the school holidays 'cos he has a LOT of commitments. "Is there anything this guy doesn't so"? I think to myself, however I did score his phone number ;)
Anyway, I'm humbled now. I decided to use this experience of mine as inspiration for a Silliquie for Theatre Studies Class. And here it is:
(Scene)
(Sits hunched up in front of a monitor)
I'll try again... (Click) Damn, still nothing!
Just one message, all I need is one. Prove to me that you are alive, I don't care what the answer is any more, this waiting is killing me.
Its been five days, isn't that enough time? He's probably busy with VCE and work and band all that junk to get back to me, thats all, it's not like it's a planned attack againsed me or anything.
Maybe he didn't have a good time on Saturday, maybe he was just wearing a mask, and all the time he just waiting to get out that door and as far away as he can to get away from me, I thought his eyes were looking at his watch a bit too often.
Did I do something wrong unknowingly, I don't think I did. I thought we were having a great time, we had so much in common, we laughed so hard my stomach hurt. Doesn't that mean anything?
Write a message damn you (Slaps Screen)! Something, anything. Tell me that you hate me, tell me that you detest ever part of my existence, but don't ignore me, don't keep me waiting.
What have I become? All I do all day is sit around in front of this computer, waiting, waiting for something to happen, I could be doing something now, I mean even if he were to write a message it would wait for me. , I gotta shut down this computer, do something else and clean my room.
(Looks behind and shows disgust) Okay, lets start a bit smaller, I'll listen to the radio...
(Radio)
Radio:
(Back end of song or commercial) This is K.G and you're listing to late night dedications on 99.2 K.R.U, This next song is dedicated to Laura from St Kilda this one is from Alan (Opening bars to Human Natures' "Truly madly deeply" or equally sappy romantic equivalent)
(/Radio)
This is stupid, how the hell am I supposed to get my mind off him.
(Glances at computer)
I'll try again, not as though it will help (Clicks)
I bet he'd be laughing to himself if he knew what he's put me through, that bastard! I swear, If I see him walking down the street, I'll put my hands around his neck and....
One New message...
(Reads message)
Oh....
(/Scene)
Thats enough for now. Tomorrow I go home and hopefully I will be able to go to Laylas' mums' play.
Kicking back my heels
Wednesday, April 26, 2006
I am writing this message from an Internet Cafe in Sheparton. My mum and Tracey have gone off shopping and I have no idea when they will be back. Boy, this keyboard really sucks. You have to press really hard to get any of the keys to work on the right side.
Yesterday, I went to "A-cho-ka" and went on one of those old style steam boats, that was a interesting way to wittle down an hour. Following that I went around whatever shops were opened.
I had lunch in NSW, It was fish and chips and the meal came with free pancakes.
Good News! I have now seen all of the Matrix movies, I rock!
On a more sour note, I still havn't recieved anything back from Gricey. I am starting to doubt that he wants anything to do with me. One of my pet hates is being ignored. I shouldnt allow myself to be put on hold and left to simmer in my own paranoid juices. It is a pattern of mine that I really want to stamp out.
Otherwise having a great holiday, Jack

What's the Rush Worth?
Monday, April 24, 2006
Today is the first day of my holiday in Rushworth. However I wouldnt call it a full holiday, I'm taking all of my school work with me, so I would just call it "A Work Relocation".Apon arrival so far I have:
Picked up a bail of hay
Fed Cows
Done part of my food and all of my Psychology Homework
And Gone for my first driving lesson.
Yes, thats right! My first driving lesson. Infact it was in a cow paddock and for a first time I am doing great! With practice I really think I could get my head around this "driving" thing.
Mark has been taken me under his wing for the time that I have been here so far. Mum told him to take me out to do "Manly things".
Tomoz is a public holiday so for that I am planning not to do any of my homework, in the trully Australian way of paying respect for our fallen. However I will use this time to read the Great Gatsby (Recreationally of Corse)
Still waiting for some feedback from Gricey. I hope he doesn't keep me waiting for too long, cos that would just plain suck! I have not recieved any mail back from him, but on the bright side, I have not recieved any mail from my Food teacher with this weeks work.
If you are reading this, I owe you a hug.
Jack
Secret Agent Man

Well, today was the day that I saw Gricey @ the Berth.Recently I've been watching the anime 'Love Hina' back the front. It is about a 20 year old, who repetedly tries to get into Tokyo Univercity to live out a promise that he made to a mysterious girl from 15 years ago. In the process his Grandmother leves him as the manager of an all Girls Dormatory. And it all unravels from there.
I got my school photos back yesterday. I look like a boof! I am starting to doubt the existance of the perfect school photo. Have a look:

Getting to and from the city was a nightmare. I had to take bus from Diamond Creek to Eltham, a train from Eltham to Watsonia, Picked up Carla and Layla to Watsonia, Took a train from Watsonia to Heidelburg, A bus from Heidelburg to Clifton Hill, a train from Clifton Hill to Spencer Street, then walked to the CBD.
On the train Layla and I had a starteling revelation, Layla is aparently carrying Gavans baby, I am Gavan are aparently the same person, so in theory Layla is carrying my baby. This is just about as bad as the time I told Layla to find Jake Gillinghal otherwise she will be captured by Johnny Depp (Which is also Orlando Bloom)and she will have to tend to his every desire, including making a new series of Buffy featuring David Kosh.
We found the Berth alright, we were seated and were served water. Then a special needs customer came in and we were moved to a table closer to the kitchen *wink*. The cafe was smaller than expected and there were a lot of staff on for that space. The meals were great and well presented. However the reason I was there was Gricey, he spent an awful lot of time behind the bar. We exchanged glances and smiled every once an a while, Carla was complaining that the way she was seated she couldn't look at him in-con-spic-u-ious-ly. The entire operation was to look at eachother without drawing attention. Layla had to go because she had official business. NONE OF THE WAITERS HAD NAMES! There was a black waiter who I could of sworn was flirting with me, did he perhaps know something I didn't?
Anyway Gricey, give me a buzz and we'll organise something for Later,
Now later on in the evening, Hayden should be comming over, but hey, not getting my hopes up.
But that's another story.
Edit: Hayden never did show his face. Also, at the Berth Carla and I dressed up a salt shaker with my glasses. We named him "Professor Salty" and he is on the Atkins diet, that explained why he was so full of salt
Those kids sure have a mouth on them

On SBS right now there is a show on Insight about probing the minds of 13 year olds.Think about it this way: You have a bunch of loud mouthed people from various different cultures, put them into a studio and shrink them down a few feet.
It is rather sad, what they were saying (Sometimes at least). Especially on issues on conforming and peer pressure. I mean at one point the "Adam and Steve" line was thrown in. In the most part I found it interesting and could relate (partially) to. I mean these kids are only three years younger than me and are the same age as the year 7s and 8s. Did I think like that? How far do we go in three years?
Good Friday:
Nan, Mum and I went to good Friday mass. It was a solemn service, afterwards I ate lots of hot cross buns. Following that I went to the 12 stations of the cross. I was called into it on work, otherwise I wouldn't of gone. As nice as it is, It bores me to tears. I was called into play Chiaphus the high priest of Jerusalem at the time of Jesus' death. It went rather well.
Saturday:
Today I went to the city, I walked around the Queen Vic market and bought a pair of fingerless gloves. Then went to big W and bought a pair of boots, a pair of pants, a shirt that says "I'm not a doctor... But I'll take a look anyway", a new button up shirt and a vest. Following that I saw a play called Doubt. It's about a pedophile minister at a catholic middle school in America. Yayness
Sunday:
Jesus is Risen WOOT!
Todays church service was so much more uplifting, lots of joy and celebration. Following that I went to see V for vendetta with Carla, wicked cool! Nothing more than Big Brother style govenment, a masked avenger and a Lesbian love affair sub plot, 5 stars.
Monday:
Nintendo Party
Carla, Phil and Peter came over. We watched internet cartoons (ie. Mr Snaffelburger) and played lots of Nintendo, and watched Nintendo related stuff. The highlight was watching the Super Mario Brothers Movie. It was okay for the first movie adaptation of a game (1993). There was once scene where the twin towers get desecrated. Forshadowing perhaps? Notice the plane between the two buildings in the first shot.

On Satuday Hayden is staying the night, but I think the more exciting thing is that I'm gonna go to the restaurant where my internet friend Gricey waits at and have lunch. This will be the first time I'll see him in person, if it goes well we'll get to see a lot more of each other if you know what I mean.
Here's his mug shot:
Splice in the City
Monday, April 10, 2006

Yay, The Splice is on the air 24/7, its Australia's best upcoming online radio station. With a music philosophy of the old TTFM, The Splice's music will come from your computer and into your heart. It is run by my good friend Dan, who has been affiliated with SYN 90.7 for several years. In the words of SYN "He's young but he knows his shit"
Tune into the Splice @ www.thesplice.com.au
And now the rest of the post.
On Saturday Erin, Layla, Jenn and I went into the city and had some fun. The main event was the Young Writers Show, which involved going to the town hall. I have never seen so many zines in the one place before. So many ideas being exchanged, so.... expensive. I didn't buy anything but I did walk away with a lot of free stuff. Other things we did was go to lunch as a cafe, explore the minetor a goth shop, a chocolate shop, a CD shop (Of the dirt cheap variety) and waited at Flinders Street Station.
Now let me step back a bit on the last one. For two weeks I have been anticipating Hayden staying ay my place, I even bought a Salavador print for my living room. On the menu was Corn Chowder and Lemon Morange Pie. I said to him if he were to back out I'd personally deliver the pie to his face. Now on Saturday Hayden kept us waiting at the station for a while. We sent him an SMS and got a rude one back. So Layla and I went back to my pad where we ate corn chowder and pie, we listened to Alice Cooper and screwed with Seans head on MSN, before we knew it was time to leave.
The next day I slept into 11 AM, I didnt go to church because I decided I was gonna use the day to spend some time with Hayden, I even swapped shifts on the Data Projection pannel. I got a reason why Hayden couldn't be at Flinders street. It was a good one so I wont be delivering a pie to his face, rather a sympathy pie to his hands.
Today I spent two periods signing people up to the Athletics Carnivle and two spares. I sent Hayden a BIG Letter and I put two of the badges I made in EGG today. Thay say "Not Kevin" and "Call me! Biatch".
Eat at Joes!

I have not been to a dentist for 5 years and I have been really scared of what they would find. I went to the dentist and I have been cleared for having healthy teeth. The waiting room in a dentist office is a scarey place, its sterile and the sound can be heard from the room. Now I have peace of mind and $35 poorer.
This is an important message to my readers:
Brush twice daily
Use mouthwash
Floss often
and most bad breath is caused by bacteria on the tongue.

A public apology
Tuesday, April 04, 2006
Okay, For all those who are dieing to get the goss, I shant dissapoint. This week is National Youth Week. Finally a week to celebrate being young! If you tune into Joy 94.9 you might hear my voice in the Coming Out project. Joy Fm is good to listen to this week, all the shows have a youth theme to them (Or you can listen to SYN or Tripple J). Anyway, I have been offered to go through a certificate course in radio free of charge with JOY FM. I think I might take them up on that.
Mr Oxenburg is back and that means no more spares. Oh well I can get over it, now it is time to get back into gear. Welcome to term 2!
Now for the apology:
Today Erin and I were rushing to catch the train back from school. When crossing Greensborough Road I was able to cross the lights and Erin wasn't. Me in my haste didn't wait for Erin, instead I continued to the station without her. I feel as though I have betrayed a friend and for that I am sorry. If we had been late we could of been late together.
*Now for me to bow my head in shame*
