The holidays
Monday, September 26, 2005
Well here back again at my terminal. It's not as though I have gone anyway, I've spent most of my time at my computer. Not blogging, nut watching Naruto. Yes, A few weeks ago I bought 140 episodes of Naruto, so far I am up to number 70, I'm half way there and am halfway through the holidays. Swish. Also I have been spending alot of time working on my Demo for the show. It sounds great. I have Submitted it to the programming Directors at SYN 90.7. If you want to obtain a copy of it give me a buzz. I have been overflowing with Ideas for the show including segments and promos.
I've made a few friends over the internet in the local area. One of them is named Andrew Wilson. Now a bit of trivia, The maiden name of my Grandmother is Wilson and according to her there wre origionally two wilson familys in Melbourne. Long lost distant cousins perhaps?
Next years production os called PIMPERNAL and it is based on the adventures of the Scarlet Pimpernel. I'll probebly get a character part as usual. Also I am putting together a TV ad for Graphics when school starts.
I guess i should get to work on that kids book now.
Enjoy the rest of your holidays

The life and times of a fully qualified Synner
Tuesday, September 06, 2005
Well it is official, I am now fully qualified synner.Let me recap a bit, Erin, Layla and I all went into the city. Layla was on her way to the movies to see "Sin City" With her mum. We were on out way to the studio.
So we parted at borders and went to the studio. I got a slushy from 7/11. mmmmm.... Purple Honeycomb.
Then we got to the studios and were told how to prepare a demo. Then we went out of the studio to prepare where we talked to some of the other goth girls who are also applying for a show. They hate Simple Plan, I hate simple plan. We all got on fine.
Then we got into the studio and started recording. We did a preview that sounds like this.
Scene: A hospital.
Doctor: Is the patient ready?
Nurse: Yes Sir.
Doctor: Excellent, Lets comment brain sergery. Scalpal!
Nurse: Scalpal.
Doctor: Making insision now.
Patient: *Scream*
Doctor: Did you remember to sedate the patient?
Voice over: There are eisier ways to get into the depths of the mind. Listen to the depths of the mind on SYN 90.7.
Following recording that we did a segmant about the miracle properties of chocolate.
Then we left knowing that it was up to us to make the show work.
Another promo goes like this:
Man: I cant take life anymore, I'm going to jump!
Woman: Wait, Listen to The Depths of the mind [Insert time and day] on Syn 90.7.
Man: Will it help the problems that make life a crippiling pain go away?
Woman: It might.
Voice over: The depths of the mind. Tempoary pain relief. If pain persists please see your doctor.
Then we ate dinner and left. A good time had by all.

Ps. Psychic powers are always cool.

The people I know: Revised
Saturday, September 03, 2005
On one of my first posts back in the days of "Ajax: The Blog" I listed all the people who I associate myself with. Well a lot has changed since then, so I present to you "People I know: Revised Version"First of all my family:
Myself - No need to go in deeper, the entire blog is about me pretty much.
Ben - Nothing much has changed, still acts like a 11yr old. He's 17 now.
Mum: After breaking up with my dad, she has been pursuing love once more (With little success).
Dad: Don't speak to him very much anymore.
Nan: She has always loved and cared for me. I am lucky to have someone like her for a grandmother.
Next the people at school:
Emily: Her priorities are a little out of balance, she has sadistic tendances, but she is a nice person all round and no I am not going out with her or have any plans to in the future.
Erin: She is witty and funny, has tendances for sarcasm. Recently we have been working together to make a radio program.
Layla: She is a zany person with a nervous twitch that only happens to come up when someone ticks her off.
Sean: Or should I say Mr. Vertical. Sean and have worked together on a few things and have invented a handshake. I trust him; he's a good friend to have. Some people do find him irritating though.
Mr Oxenburg: He's a nice guy and we get along well. He always seems to have some interest in what’s going on in my life and is willing to offer help whenever he can. As a teacher I must admit that he has problems holding himself in the classroom.
Jen: I must admit I don’t know much about her, she is nice though and willing to give up some of her 'Dove'.
Ashley Block: Well, I wish I could put some redeemable qualities with your name however this is my blog! Personally I find him Irritating and Spoiled. I swear there are some times I would love to get my hands around his neck and... (Calm down Jack) *calming...calming...calming.... calm* okay, calm now. Okay, he is someone I would rather not share the same space, air, ect/
Gavan: Dopey as usual, but an all round generous guy.
Now for the people from drama:
Daniel: He is still the son of a preacher man. He has gotten a lot taller over the past few months. He is one of the friends I have had for a long time through thick and thin. I would like to wish him the best in his chosen career path as a teacher.
Carla: She is like Layla in a lot of ways. She loves Buffy and makes an effort to come to my events. She's also pretty cute too.
Peter: (Anime Enthusiast) Currently Emily’s boyfriend. He acts a lot of the time like he is a Shakespearian actor. He has a very good creativity to him and working with him would be a pleasure.
Phil: He's a rather shy guy who lives way down yonder. He trusts me and asks me for advice about his love life, which I am all too happy to give. He is very sweet when he acts timid on stage with Rebecca.
Ian: (Golem) Our fabulous and flamboyant teacher. If it weren’t for him, class each week wouldn’t be the same. Everyone in the class loves him to bits.
And other people who don’t fit into the three categories:
Bronwyn: The youth leader at my church, she has helped me through a lot and organises regular youth focuses and Big Group Events.
Lynden and Rosemary: Daniels mom and pop. Their hospitality is greatly appreciated and their dysfunctional sermons are fun.
Tim: Daniels younger brother. Playful yet mature (In a sense), always has brown around his mouth and sticky fingers.
Big Group: I won’t name you all but; the group wouldn’t be the same if it were just I.
In reverance to the theme of my blog "Life is study" here are some tips for surviving school. This is from http://www.christianitytoday.com/cl/9c2/9c2044.html.
1. Jump up and down in a mud puddle with a friend. Why? It's stupid. It'll make both of you laugh.
2. Keep a journal. It's a great way to express some of those hidden feelings.
3. Write a poem.
4. Say hello to God. And say, "Thanks!" "Help!" "I'm sorry!" or "I'm stressed!" Talk to God openly, talk to him honestly, talk to him about your out-of-control schedule. Just talk to him.
| 5. Spend time with a funny friend. | Are you someone who's always listening to other people's problems? |
Then you need to spend time with someone who simply gives you a good laugh.
6. Tape crazy cartoons to the inside of your locker.
7. Write down important stuff in pencil. Jot down deadlines and activities in a planner or calendar. Why in pencil? Well …
8. Erase! When you find yourself doing two things at once (even two very good things), you've gotta let something go. If you don't, well, then you'll join the "Burnout Club." Don't overload your schedule. Don't plan every minute away. And be careful! Don't do away with all the fun stuff.
9. Don't skip meals. Yeah, we know, this sounds like mom-talk. But you can't keep going without three decent meals a day.
| 10. Scream! | There are times when you just feel like |
you gotta yell. So close your door and do it. (But warn your family first!)
11. Escape into a cool novel.
12. Join a club. It's a great way to meet new friends.
13. Move your muscles. Yeah, exercise. No, this is not your gym teacher speaking. It's a fact—your bod and your brain need it.
14. Stare at the ceiling. There are times when it's nice to do nothing.
| 15. Pop a balloon. |
16. Spin in circles. Are you the kind of person who never changes the way you do things? Get up right now and spin around in a dozen circles. Dizzy? Feels kind of good, doesn't it?
17. Be a pedestrian. When you're close enough to walk, don't drive. Your legs will appreciate it.
18. Make goofy faces in a mirror. It's good to learn to laugh at yourself.
| 19. Pet your dog. | Or your cat, gerbil or whatever. Your |
pet will appreciate it, and it's a good way to reconnect with an old buddy.
20. Slow down.
21. Change your scenery. Do you always walk the same way to school? Do you always drive the same road to the library or 7-Eleven? Get a fresh look at the world—and your neighborhood—by taking a different route.
22. Build an everlasting friendship. A good devotional life isn't about guilt—like, "You better read your Bible 20 minutes a day or else!" It's about building a friendship with the One who created you. (Need suggestions for Bible reading and study? See "Faith Builders" on page 10.)
23. Push "random" on your CD player.
24. Create a checklist. Doing this will help you realize what you need to do in a day. And it feels great to be able to actually check something off.
| 25. Treat yourself to your favorite dessert. |
26. Make a "Do Not Disturb" sign. Use a bunch of bright markers. Give your sign a collage look with magazine pics. Be creative. Be silly. Hang it on your door when you have to study or just need some alone time.
27. Take a nap.
28. Avoid cramming. Sometimes it just kind of happens. But you'll experience less anxiety and probably do a lot better in school if studying is a daily habit—and not a late-night stress fest.
29. Smile. It'll make you feel better. And smiling is contagious. Don't be afraid to pass it around.
30. Flee the telephone! When you gotta study, you really gotta study. Don't try it with the phone tempting you to touch-tone your way to distraction.
31. Count to 10. It's an old, but effective, way to deal with anger or stress.
32. Relax.
I hope this has been enlightening. Today I am going to pray a little different tonight. This is going to be an E-Prayer.*Dear Lord,
Thank you for what you have provided,
and what you have planed for the future.
may everything we do turn out for the better,
and that we learn from our mistakes and failures.
I prey for all those who are suffering,
the hungary, tired, the thirsty, the poor and those affected by violence,
may your cool wind wash over them.
I prey for Justice,
that people get what they deserve.
Open up my eyes,
and let me walk with you hand in hand.
Let me see the simple pleasures in life.
May you bless everyone who I have the pleasure to be around,
for they are truly gold to me.
Save us at the time of trial and Deliver us from evil,
Amen* Well over the last few days Erin and I have been compiling ideas for the show. Everything is coming together. On the 10th I hope to get all my friends from Drama into the studios of Plenty Valley Fm to get some radio plays down onto CD and then Erin and I will record a demo with it later. Rock On!
Anyway, I have been on the mend from a virus that it seems that seems as though everyone has. Layla has been away for the last few days. Mr Conway has shaven off his beard (Freakazoid) also the advertisement I have been working on in Graphics and Advertisement is about to be shot. If I can I'll get a link to the completed version on my blog.
For those that don’t know (which most likely you don’t) the advertisement is for the FIFA 2006 world cup. This ad is aimed for women. Here is a description: A man and a woman go through a whole range of emotions as they watch soccer, only you don’t know its soccer until the end. Mr Brown said is was a really good idea and I hope that it works out like the storyboard.
Erin, Jen and I have decided to move away from the hub to places that are a bit quieter. On Friday we were singing as many scores from the Simpson’s as we could. Erin is a fun and intelligent person, so I feel lucky to be able to present a show with her. With any luck we'll be on the air, with some more luck people will listen.
On Friday night, it seemed as though everyone was missing but that doesn’t mean we still can’t have a good time. One of the games we played was a twisted version of Duck Duck Goose only it was called Entire Zoo. Peter and I were playing crabs that were arguing over buying condoms (Excuse the pun). Ian gave me his Ostrich pen.
Today was uneventful. Yesterday I was inspired to cook my dad a three-course meal for Fathers day. Today I went shopping with my Nan and pre-prepared two of the three courses. I'm telling them I'm doing it however what I’m serving up will be a surprise. But here is a sneak peek:
Entrée: Northern American Corn Chowder
Mains: Honey marinated pork with rice.
Dessert: Creme Caramel.
I'm looking forward to it.
Last Monday I bought a new bible. It's called Revolution. It is a bible specially made for Guys aged 13-16. I look forward to breaking it in. I also discovered a band that is really cool. It's called Superchic[k]. I am probably going to get the record.
God Bless. Live Strong. Jack

I think this picture looks cool, love the glasses mon.
